It's Sad.

Hubs planned a big boys day with his "friends" today.

They were gonna go to the city to see Transformers and eat at a nice place.

Everyone was game to go.

Till about 20 minutes before they were supposed to leave.

Then everyone bailed to go drink together. Hubs can't drink because of his diabeties.

I feel sad for him. He doesn't think anyone cares that he is leaving. His momma doesn't care, his friends apparently don't care.

He doesn't think that anyone is going to even notice that he's gone.

  1. Oh wow. Hubs- so sorry. So sorry that your friends just don't get it. So sorry for that blasted disease that NO ONE understands and thinks they can't eat, drink, or do whatever with you because of it! Yeah- can ya tell this gets me going? We've been there with the diabetes crap and with the moving crap from family. Don't let it get you down for too long! You're out of there in a month on a brand new adventure that's going to change your lives. We are excited to meet you guys!!

Oh- are you coffee drinkers? We have an extra coffee pot in good condition that's yours if you want it.

  6. Oh geez. Sometimes boys can be such jerks! They were being so inconsiderate. I'll notice when he's moved...even though I don't live there. : ) Poor guy. Well, you can probably make him feel better! ; )

  7. That's terrible to hear. If we lived near you we'd come cheer him up and take y'all to see the movie. My hubs is eager to see it.

  10. that totally sucks, maybe they are just idiot guys who just don't realize that they only have limited time with him until you guys move. it's funny, i know hubs are strong, independent men, but i hate when someone does unkind things to mine, it's like i am his mama bear LOL

  12. When do you guys make it up here? I'm ready to hang with the man - we'll go fishing, watch MMA and a whole lot of other man crap.

I don't drink either so it's all good - by the way it's gonna be tough to be in FBX with no help from the Fire In the Belly potion.

  14. That sucks big time! I hate that feeling, when you feel so left out. Give him a big hug and let him know how much you love him!

  15. How insensitive! My 5 year old has Type 1 Diabetes. And if his blood sugar level is too high for a treat, then none of us get the treat. It's one little way that we can show him compassion and solidarity in the midst of this horrible disease!
